VESC6 Open Hardware Motor Controller — PCB / PCBA
Price range: $6.00 through $59.00
Open-source three-phase motor-controller design with a DRV8301 gate driver, STL130N6F7 MOSFETs and CAN interfaces.
Choose PCB Only — $6.00, 100 g or PCBA — $59.00, 120 g, per piece.
PCBA is made to order: 5-10 days of production after payment confirmation, excluding shipping transit time.
Gallery includes PCB/PCBA renders and a reference photograph. The PCB-only option contains no components.
PCB production lead time: 2-3 days. Shipping transit time is additional.
Choose your PCB color: Green, Purple, Red, Yellow, Blue, White, Black or Matte Black.
For bare PCB orders, please enter your preferred soldermask color in the order notes at checkout. If ordering multiple products, specify the product name and color for each item. Example: Arisu PCB – Purple. Product images are references; the supplied PCB color follows your confirmed order requirements.
Prefer to order with your Gerber files? Upload your Gerber files on our PCB/PCBA online ordering page, select your PCB color and manufacturing specifications, and place your order directly. Pricing is calculated from your uploaded files and selected options.

Design functions and applications
Open-source three-phase motor-controller design with a DRV8301 gate driver, STL130N6F7 MOSFETs and CAN interfaces.
Main chips and their roles
| Chip | Role in the design |
|---|---|
| DRV8301 | Three-phase MOSFET gate driver used by the upstream driver circuit. |
| STL130N6F7 | Power MOSFETs listed for the upstream motor-drive stage. |
| LSM6DS3 | IMU supported by the design; population is configuration-dependent and must be confirmed for the ordered PCBA. |
Key design functions
- Three-phase motor-drive hardware with current and temperature feedback in the upstream implementation.
- USB, two CAN ports, ADC/switch, SWD and Hall-sensor connections.
- Designed to work with the project-specific firmware and appropriate heatsinking.
Typical applications
- BLDC motor-control development and motor test benches.
- CAN-connected robotics and actuator prototypes.
- Research into motor sensing and control using appropriate firmware.
Application examples require suitable firmware and external hardware. Functions and chips describe the assembled design; the PCB-only option contains no components. Actual PCBA population and any programming or testing requirements should be confirmed for the order.
VESC6 Open Hardware — PCB / PCBA
Based on Craig Gault’s (craigg96) open hardware implementation of the VESC 6 schematics published by Benjamin Vedder. Choose a bare PCB or an assembled board.
| Option | Price per piece | Contents | Production lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| PCB Only | USD $6.00 | One unpopulated PCB; no components | 2-3 days |
| PCBA | USD $59.00 | One populated and soldered circuit board | 5-10 days after payment confirmation, excluding shipping |
Project overview
An open-source motor-controller board with USB, dual CAN, ADC/switch, SWD and Hall-sensor connections in the upstream design. The supplied dimension drawing shows a board outline of 110 × 45 mm.
Scope of supply
The PCB-only option contains no electronic components. The PCBA option is made to order. Motor, battery, enclosure, heatsink and external wiring are not included. For firmware programming, IMU population, specific connector requirements or a defined test procedure, contact DIYIPCB before ordering.
Operating current and voltage depend on the assembled configuration, cooling, firmware and validation. Upstream design ratings and test reports are not a verified rating or test certificate for the DIYIPCB-supplied board. Confirm the appropriate configuration and cooling before powering a motor.
Gallery guide
The gallery contains a bare PCB render, an assembled 3D render, a dimension drawing and a supplied assembled-board reference photograph. The reference photo does not represent a tested DIYIPCB production unit; the bare PCB option does not include the illustrated components.
