Caso práctico de producción de PCBA de seis capas: desde los archivos hasta la finalización.

DIYIPCB six-layer PCBA case study: recorded production milestones from 14 to 26 October 2026; timeline illustration.

A six-layer PCBA project recorded by DIYIPCB in October 2026 shows why a useful production schedule needs more detail than a single turnaround number. Production preparation and PCB production were recorded on 14 October; overall production completion was recorded on 26 October, approximately 12 calendar days later.

This is one completed production example. It is not a standard lead-time promise, and the completion milestone does not include shipping transit.

The recorded production milestones

Recorded date Milestone
14 October 2026 Production files prepared and PCB production started
22 October 2026 PCB production completed; component-ordering milestone recorded
24 October 2026 All components received
26 October 2026 Assembly scheduled and overall production completed

These dates reflect the project’s recorded progress updates. Several milestones can be entered together; the record does not establish the exact working hours spent on each operation.

Board completion and assembly completion are different

For this six-layer build, PCB completion was recorded before all components were received. A fabricated board alone was not the finished assembly. The project also required component readiness and an assembly stage before overall production could be marked complete.

When requesting a quotation, ask whether the stated schedule covers bare-board fabrication, component procurement, assembly or the complete agreed production scope. Confirm separately when that schedule starts and how shipping will be handled.

What this means for your next PCBA request

  • Keep one revision across the files. Supply Gerbers and drill data, a BOM with manufacturer part numbers, and component placement data for the same board revision.
  • Explain component requirements. Identify parts that must use an exact manufacturer or grade. Clearly state whether substitutions are permitted and how approval should work.
  • Define the assembly scope. Include do-not-populate positions, polarity, through-hole work and any programming or test requirements.
  • Separate production from delivery. Confirm the proposed production completion date, shipping method and estimated transit time as different parts of the plan.

Discuss the schedule for your own build

Layer count is only one part of the request. Quantity, materials, component availability and additional assembly or testing requirements must also be reviewed. The schedule for a future project should come from its accepted quotation.
