Base Material ? FR-4 is the most popular substrate material for rigid PCBs.
Flex PCBs utilize a thin, flexible polymer film as the substrate for the circuitry. Flex PCBs reduce space consumption, and have lower weight.
Aluminum/copper core boards have better heat dissipation and thermal transfer than standard FR-4 constructions.
Note: For Aluminum/Copper core boards, the min drill size is 1.0mm, and min slot width is 1.6mm.
Rogers/Teflon PCBs have excellent dielectric properties and minimal resistance. They are generally used in high-speed, high-frequency circuitry applications.

Layers ? Number of copper layers.
Odd layer counts will be fabricated as the next even layer.

Layers ? Flexible PCBs commonly use 1, 2 or 4 layers.

Layers ? Aluminum PCBs are typically 1 or 2 layers.

Layers ? Copper core boards are typically 1 or 2 layers.

Layers ? Rogers high-frequency boards are commonly 2 layers.

Layers ? PTFE boards are commonly 2 layers.

Dimensions ? Board length and width.
You can switch between mm and inch.
Calculation always uses mm internally.

PCB Qty ? Number of boards you need. Higher quantity usually gets better unit price.

Different Design ? Number of different designs in one Gerber file.

Delivery Format ? Single pieces or panelized boards.

PCB Thickness ? Standard is 1.6mm. Thinner for compact devices, thicker for better strength.

PCB Color ? Soldermask color of the board.

Silkscreen ? Color of the component legend print.

Surface Finish ? HASL: Low cost, good solderability.
ENIG: Flat surface, better for fine-pitch.
OSP: Organic coating, environmentally friendly.

Outer Copper Weight ? Copper thickness on outer layers. 1oz is standard.

Via Covering ? Tented: Covered by soldermask (most common).
Untented: Vias left open.
Plugged: Filled with resin.

Castellated Hole ? Plated half-holes on the board edge.
Minimum diameter usually 0.60mm.

Gold Fingers ? Edge connector plating. Select Yes if your design has gold fingers.

Impedance Control ?Yes = +¥100 per design.

Electrical Test ? Flying probe test to check for opens and shorts.

Substrate Type ? Dielectric thickness of the flexible material.

PCB Thickness ? Typical thickness options for flexible PCBs.

Coverlay Color ? Color of the coverlay film on flexible boards.

Silkscreen ? Legend print color on flexible boards.

Copper Type ? Electro-deposited: Common, lower cost.
Rolled Annealed: Better flex life.

Surface Finish ? ENIG is the most common surface finish for flexible PCBs.

Gold Thickness ? Gold thickness for ENIG finish.

Outer Copper Weight ? Copper thickness. 1/3 oz and 0.5 oz are common for flex.

Stiffener ? Rigid material added to support connectors or components on flex boards.

EMI Shielding Film ? Electromagnetic shielding film for flexible circuits.

Cutting Method ? Laser cutting is more precise for flexible boards.

PCB Thickness ? Common thicknesses for aluminum substrate boards.

Thermal Conductivity ? Higher value means better heat dissipation.

Breakdown Voltage ? Insulation strength of the dielectric layer.

PCB Color ? Soldermask color for aluminum boards.

Surface Finish ? HASL and OSP are common for aluminum PCBs.

Framework ? No (Non-framework): Foil only, lower cost.
Yes (Framework): With aluminum frame, easier for repeated printing.

Step Stencil ? Step stencils provide different solder paste volume for components that need different paste amounts on one PCB.
Currently two thickness levels are supported. If Yes, describe step regions in Remark.

Stencil Side ? Top only: 1 stencil, top side Gerber.
Bottom only: 1 stencil, bottom side Gerber.
Top+Bottom (Single): 1 stencil, both sides on one foil (size ≥ 2× PCB).
Top+Bottom (Separate): 2 stencils, price ×2.

Dimensions ? Overall stencil size and valid working area.

Polishing Process ? Sanding: Standard, general use.
Etching: Economical deburring.
Electropolishing: Smoothest surface, better paste release. Recommended for ≤0.5mm pitch IC / BGA. (+$12)

Fiducials ? Alignment marks for SMT machines.
Hand assembly usually does not need fiducials.
If required, select Etched Through / Half and include them in the design file.

Engrave Text ? Laser engrave text on the stencil (e.g. order #, file name).
If Yes but no text in Remark, file name and order # will be used.

Stencil Remark ? Step regions, 1:1 aperture request, PO number, engrave text, etc.

Notes:

① Stencil aperture openings follow factory standard by default. For 1:1 opening, leave a remark.

② Provide clear Gerber paste layers to reduce engineering questions.

Due to the diversity of components, there are usually many things need to be paid attention to while doing assembly, such as whether it needs to be baked before mounting, whether there are special requirements about welding temperature, corrosion resistance, humidity, etc. Our engineers will check all the information, but it is still inevitable that there will be omissions. Depanel the boards to delivery ? It is also called sub-board shipment: the panelized PCB is divided into pieces and packaged separately to ship out after the assembly service.

Function test ? Functional testing (FCT) is the last manufacturing step of PCB creation. It makes sure the PCB works correctly and avoids assembly issues including shorts, opens, missing components or incorrect parts. Please note your functional test methods and detailed requirements in the remark if needed.

Conformal coating ? Conformal coating is a protective thin polymeric film applied to the PCB. It conforms to the contours of the board and is typically applied at 25–250 μm, providing protection against moisture, dust, chemicals and temperature extremities.

Firmware loading ? Firmware loading refers to the process of loading a previously written program (firmware) onto the chips on the PCB, so that the chips can function properly after assembly.

Press-fit assembly ? Press-fit assembly establishes mechanical and electrical connections between boards and components without soldering: connector pins are inserted into plated through-holes with a certain force. It avoids broken or cold soldered pins and improves reliability.

Box build assembly ? Also known as systems integration: a full process service from designing and manufacturing the enclosure, installing the PCBA, cables and cable harness assembly, and even electrical and/or pneumatic systems.

Cable wire harness assembly ? A cable assembly is a group of wires/cables covered by an exterior sleeve; a wire harness is a single cable covered by an exterior sleeve. We provide standard and simple wiring harness assembly, or custom wire harnesses and cable assembly at short turnaround times.

Package box ? Neutral box: plain packaging, no delivery note or receipt included, and no brand mark on the label or courier slip.
Custom box: customized packaging with your own design (extra cost / MOQ may apply).

Flying Probe Testing ? Flying Probe Testing (FPT) is a precise PCB electrical test using movable probes to check conductivity, shorts and component parameters. No fixtures needed, high precision and flexibility — ideal for prototypes, small batches and high-density PCBs.
Supported files: ODB++ (*.tgz), .PcbDoc; BOM: .csv, .txt, .html, .xls, .xlsx

Number of X-ray test ? X-ray inspection is a non-destructive testing technique used to inspect the quality of solder joint connections and component placement (especially BGA / QFN etc.).
