Export Gerber and drill files from CircuitMaker

Generate CircuitMaker 2 fabrication outputs, locate Gerber and NC Drill folders, and upload the complete set to DIYIPCB.

Prepare the final revision

Save the project, update the PCB and resolve validation issues. Check the actual board profile and any internal cutouts.

Use Generate Outputs

  1. Open Project → Project Actions → Generate outputs.
  2. In the fabrication group, enable Gerber Files and NC Drill Files. Use Configure for each output.
  3. Select the used copper, mask, required silkscreen and profile layers in Gerber Setup. Check units, coordinate precision and the output origin.
  4. Configure the drilling output with matching origin and clearly identified plated/non-plated holes.
  5. Click Generate. Inspect validation messages and use View to review the generated outputs.

Collect both output folders

The documented workflow writes outputs under Default Configuration within the project directory, with separate Gerber and NC Drill subfolders. Collect both for the upload ZIP. If your configuration uses another location, use that job’s actual output directory.

Editing or saving design files can make earlier outputs out of date. Regenerate the complete set after a design change, rather than combining new Gerbers with old drills. Generating or releasing files inside CircuitMaker does not submit a DIYIPCB order.

Check the exported files

Open the exported Gerbers and drill data together in a Gerber viewer. Confirm the outline dimensions, copper-layer count, pad-to-hole alignment, cutouts and mask openings. Check top and bottom views before accepting the export. A drill drawing or PDF does not replace machine-readable drill data.

Use one design revision per ZIP. Keep old exports outside the upload folder and identify any special stackup, slots or plating requirements in a fabrication note. See the complete Gerber package checklist.

Upload to DIYIPCB

Open DIYIPCB PCB / PCBA Online Quote, upload the Gerber ZIP and choose the material, specifications and quantity. Verify the displayed dimensions and layer count against your design; the preview is a reference, not engineering approval.

For bare PCBs, the Gerber ZIP must also contain the drill data. For assembly, provide a matching BOM and placement file as well. Use the available cart or inquiry option for your selected service. See BOM and placement-file requirements.
