PCB Prototypes for Design Verification

Order prototype PCBs from DIYIPCB to check fit, routing, connectivity and assembly before committing to a larger production run. Upload your manufacturing files and select the board specifications and quantity for your project.

Prepare your prototype files

  • Provide one ZIP containing the Gerber layers and drill files for the same design revision.
  • Check the board outline, cutouts, copper layers, solder mask and silkscreen in a Gerber viewer.
  • Specify the material, thickness, copper weight, surface finish and quantity.
  • For assembly, also provide the BOM and component placement file, identifying components that must not be fitted.

Choose specifications that match the final design

A prototype should test the requirements that matter for your product. Include impedance targets, stackup requirements, controlled dimensions and any special via treatment in your request. Confirm unusual features with our team before releasing the files.

Review before ordering

Check the selected parameters against your design files. Pricing and production scheduling depend on the specification, quantity and engineering review; a prototype does not have a universal price or turnaround time.

Move from prototype to production

After validating the board, upload the approved revision for the next order. Keep the Gerbers, BOM and placement files synchronized and clearly identify any changes.
