Der Chip erweitert den Ein-\/Ausgang (GPI0) \u00fcber den I2C-Bus\/SMBus und zeichnet sich durch hohe Treiberleistung und geringen Stromverbrauch aus. Zu den verbesserten Eigenschaften geh\u00f6ren eine Treiberkapazit\u00e4t von 4000 pF, 5 I\/O-Anschl\u00fcsse, ein Betriebsstrom von unter 1 mA, separate I\/O-Port-Konfigurationen, eine I2C-Bus-Taktfrequenz von 400 kHz und ein kompakteres Geh\u00e4use.
